# Sitepeel

The website tools can be tried without an account. Clone prompt, the DESIGN.md generator and the asset extractor give a few free runs a day, then ask you to sign in (free); one-time lifetime access makes them unlimited, keeps every result in your account library (with dated copies of DESIGN.md files) and unlocks all 13 tools in the Chrome extension, which also has a 24-hour trial that starts the first time a tool is used. The extension runs in Chrome, Edge and Brave on desktop; the website tools also work on phones.

Clone prompt writes a build prompt from values measured on the live page; the site’s own text, logo and image links are placeholders to replace before publishing. The extension’s Clone page tool exports the current rendered page as HTML and CSS, not a whole website crawl, its source project, backend, database or sign-in system. Design MD is an editable Markdown design reference covering typography, colors and spacing. AI providers are optional and may have their own charges. Reuse of extracted material requires the appropriate rights and permissions.

### Are the tools free?

Yes. The website tools are free and need no install. Clone prompt, DESIGN.md and the asset extractor ask you to sign in after a few runs; lifetime access makes them unlimited and saves your results.

### What is a DESIGN.md file?

A Markdown file that describes a design system: colors, typography, spacing, corners and components. Link it from your AI agent’s instructions (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or Cursor rules) and Claude Code, Cursor or Codex build interfaces that match it.

### Does it work on any website?

It works on public pages. Some sites block automated visits, and pages behind a login need the Sitepeel Chrome extension, which works on the page you have open.

### Can I reuse what I extract?

Images, fonts, code and copy belong to the site’s owner. Use them as reference, or ask for permission before you reuse them.
