WhatFont vs WhatTheFont

WhatFont reads the CSS of a live page, so it names the font of any text you hover. WhatTheFont matches a picture of text against MyFonts, so it works on logos and screenshots, for Latin text only. Sitepeel’s free font finder lists every font on a page from a link.

Side by side

People mix these up because the names are so close. They do different jobs: one reads a page, the other reads a picture.
