FAQ

Questions

How does the checker decide?

Sitepeel opens the page and measures what is actually there: colors, type, effects, layout, copy and pictures. Each tell follows a fixed rule and shows where it was found.

Does a high score mean the site was made with AI?

No. The score measures how generic the design looks, and plenty of hand-built sites share the same defaults. When a page carries a builder’s own traces, like a Lovable badge, we show that separately.

What do I do with the fix prompt?

Paste it into Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, v0 or Bolt. It keeps your colors and copy, lists every fix with where it was found, and ends with rules the tool can check its work against. Then check the page again.

Why does a well-known site get points?

Some tells, like Inter or icon card grids, show up on great sites too. They count lightly, and weak signals only count next to stronger ones.
